Who Is Eligible

In general, our programs are open to everyone, with a special emphasis on refugee families.

Certain programs may have special requirements or size limits; please include any questions about eligibility when you RSVP to the class.

Language Assistance and Translators

In many classes, interpreters are available for a variety of languages, such as Arabic, French, Kinyarwanda, Spanish, Swahili, and more.

Please indicate if interpretation will be needed when RSVPing.

Childcare

During many of our Saturday morning classes, and sometimes during special programs, childcare is available.

Reach out if you have any questions about whether childcare is provided at an event.

DRIVE Class

Get ready to hit the road

Our DRIVE class features tutors to help clients prepare for, and take, the MVD Driver's Manual test. We also provide ongoing assistance to help clients through the steps to get their driver's license.

ESL Class

English classes for everyone

Our ESL classes cover basic conversational English for clients of any proficiency level. Our tutors and conversation partners offer a chance to learn or practice as clients dive into speaking English.

English Literacy Class

Literacy for conversational speakers

For clients with a foundational proficiency with spoken English, we also offer literacy classes. These classes cover more advanced topics to empower clients with the ability to read and write in English.

Financial Literacy Class

Financial basics to start saving

Our financial literacy classes cover foundational topics such as budgeting, saving, and opening a savings account. We work with community partners to provide this important program.

Healthy Women Healthy Homes

Special events empowering women

We hold regular special presentations focusing on topics impacting refugee women and their families. Past topics have included women's healthcare, breast and cervical cancer, family planning, food safety, and more.

Health Fairs

Screenings, immunizations, classes, and more

Join us for our regular health fairs and clinics, where community partners provide things such as immunizations, dental screenings, health presentations, and more.
